Steven "Dr. Feelgood" Watkins (San Francisco, CA)

Steven, a.k.a. Dr. Feelgood, lives in San Francisco/Oakland, though he originally hails from New York City. He began DJing Blues for dancers in 2004 and is constantly striving to spread his love for the BLUES. The Good Doctor tries to bring some smooth, sultry, gritty, "Hot Skirt Music" to the dance floor in order to transform venues into JOINTS.

Roy Rydbeck (San Francisco, CA)

Roy has been a regular Blues and Lindy Hop DJ since 1998. He DJed in Tampa from 1999-2000, Austin from 2000 to 2005, and San Francisco from 2005 to 2010. Roy is currently one of the regular DJs at San Francisco's Friday Night Blues and at 9:20 Special, as well as at the numerous San Francisco blues parties. Roy has DJed numerous events across the globe, including events in: Austin, San Francisco, Tampa, Miami, Tampa, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Atlanta, Cleveland, New Orleans, Dallas, New York, St. Louis, Memphis, Indianapolois, Moscow, and St. Petersburg (Russia). Roy's Blues DJing is a good mix of different kinds of Blues. Some of Roy's favorits are Muddy Waters, Koko Taylor, T-Bone Walker, Howling Wolf, John Lee Hooker, Guitar Shorty, Billy Boy Arnold, Memphis Minnie, and Sonny Boy Williamson-2, and Taj Mahal.

Keith "Big Papa" Shapiro (Austin, TX)

Keith "Big Papa" Shapiro has been playin' the blues since 2006. Big Papa started his illustrious career by causing big trouble in little Mousetown as he put on Orlando's first blues events - teaching, DJing, and disrupting the status quo. Here in Austin, Big Papa can be seen regularly DJing for the Austin Swing Syndicate and is a founder and former house DJ for Kick Butt Blues, Austin's weekly blues dance venue. Recently, Big Papa placed third in the DJ competition at East Meets West, and is the founder of Pigfoot Productions, an organization dedicated to throwing serious dance parties here in Austin.

Along with Jonathan Pechon, Big Papa hosts a monthly podcast dedicated to blues music for dancers called Confessing The Blues. You really should check it out.

Heather Adams (Austin, TX)

Heather was created as a result of $1.5M in venture capital to a small software shop known as BasieSoft. She is a mashup of the best blues songs from various genres, with all unpleasant tones removed automatically. Heather's blues software has industry-defining performance metrics, as she had the BluesMaster3500 module implanted in her cerebral cortex as a free add-on when receiving the HotLegsXT mod pack. Heather has been tested for compatibility with the following non-comprehensive list of platforms: Down Home Blues, Austin Blues Party, Enter the Blues, MezzJelly Blues Weekend, Blues Muse, CBUS, KLX, and ATLX. By dancing to the songs played by Heather, you give Heather irrevocable license in perpetuity to rock your socks off. All rights reserved. Satisfaction guaranteed, but not legally binding.

Jonathan Pechon (Dallas, TX)

Around Dallas, Jonathan has been involved in DJing for years with the weekly swing dance at Sons of Hermann Hall and events for Dallas Swing Dance Society. Blues has become a focus of his more recently, and he's applied himself with the same energy and passion to that. Count Basie, Duke Ellington, and Sidney Bechet fed slowly downstream to Muddy Waters and his contemporaries. His engagements at Austin Blues Party, Sweet Molasses Blues, Down Home Blues, and other events have laid the path to this weekend for him.

Jerry Warwick (Dallas, TX)

Jerry Warwick proudly claims the title of the Original Dallas Blues DJ, though he now shares his city with several other national Blues DJs. His love and passion for the music and the dance are evident in his sets. He manages to keep the music solid and entertaining, plus has been also known to throw a few curve balls into his sets. Jerry has DJ.d around the country to great reviews and thoroughly loves playing his music for you, the dancers. He returns to DJ at BluesShout for the first time in several years and is looking forward to another successful event.

Tina "Sweet T" Davis (Dallas, TX)

Sweet T has been a featured DJ at workshops, exchanges and dance events all across the nation (and Canada!) since staring the "DJ thang" in 2003 in Florida.

Tina spins a mix of styles for her Blues and Lindy sets, but it's all gotta have a little "ass" to it. She.s most definitely in her happy place when folks are dancin' and laughin', movin' and groovin' to her sets.

Tina's home base is currently Dallas, Texas. She's also been known on occasion to teach Blues and Lindy Hop (with some weird guy named Don West) and reportedly has a sick devotion to the University of Florida Gators.
