Airports
While you may be able to find slightly cheaper fares into San Antonio, Houston, or Dallas, we do NOT recommend using those airports. The cost of rental cars and travel to Austin, along with the unpredictability of travel times on our highways could lead to a lot of frustration on your part.

For ease of entry and exit, the best airport to fly into Austin for this event is Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS). Austin is not really a public transportation sort of town, so if you're looking for any sort of freedom during the event, we strongly recommend you coordinate with your hosts or rent a car.

Keep in mind, as you book your flights home, the ticket counters at AUS close pretty early (6pm), so if you have a late flight out, you'll need to arrive at the airport early enough to check your luggage and so forth before the counters close.

Using Austin Public Transportation
If you're not in a hurry, you can use Austin's public transportation system. The system includes both buses and (possibly) light rail. You can find more info on the public transportation system at: http://www.capmetro.org/

Classes and Evening Dances: The Fed

PARKING AROUND THE FED IS LIMITED - PLEASE CARPOOL!

While there is a small parking lot behind the Fed, we will need to reserve this space for our staff and vendors. Please do NOT park behind the Fed. We do have an arrangement with Freewheeling Bicycles, which is across the 24th/San Gabriel intersection from the Fed. That lot is available in the evenings on Friday and Saturday and all day on Sunday. DO NOT PARK IN THE FREEWHEELING LOT DURING THE DAY ON SATURDAY OR THEY WILL TOW YOUR CAR!

There is street parking available around the Fed, but again, carpool, and leave a little early to allow time to find a place to park.

From the Northwest: Take Mopac south to the Windsor Road exit. Turn right off the exit onto Windsor. Windsor turns into 24th Street. The Fed will be on your right. From the Southwest: Take Mopac north to the Windsor Road exit. Turn left off the exit onto Windsor. Windsor turns into 24th Street. The Fed will be on your right.

From the Northeast: Take I35 south to exit 235A (MLK & 15th St). Follow the signs for MLK Blvd. and turn right onto E 19th St./E. MLK. Turn right at San Gabriel. The Fed will be on your left. From the Southeast: Take I35 north to exit 235A (MLK & 15th St). Turn left at E 15th St. Turn right onto Congress Ave. Turn left at W 19th St./W. MLK. Turn right at San Gabriel. The Fed will be on your left.

From The Fed:

Go west on 24th to Mopac. Go north on Mopac and follow the diretions from the Southwest below.

From the Northwest: Take Mopac south. Take the Anderson Road exit. Turn left onto Anderson. Go Dance is located in Northcross Mall which will be on your right. Use the mall entrance next to the Guitar Center. From the Southwest: Take Mopac north. Take the Anderson Road exit. Turn right onto Anderson. Go Dance is located in Northcross Mall which will be on your right. Use the mall entrance next to the Guitar Center.

From the Northeast: Take I35 south. Take the US 183 North (Research Blvd.) exit. Merge onto 183N. Take the Ohlen/Peyton Gin exit. Turn left at Anderson Square. Turn right at W. Anderson Lane.
