Performances     |        Contests

We've rounded up some pretty darn awesome performers to throw down on BluesSHOUT!'s stage this year. Here's the dirt for you:

Chris Mayer & Campbell Miller

Campbell and Chris have been dancing together since 2008 and have developed their own unique style. Together they mold different styles of dance into their own version of Blues, their own piece of happiness. For bluesSHOUT! 2010, they will be performing to "Do I Move You" by blues and jazz great, Nina Simone. The piece plays off the lyrics and emotion inherent in the song, as well as showing Chris and Campbell's diversity as dancers. They truly enjoy performing this routine, and look forward to sharing it with you.

Zora

Zora is a group of blues dancers from across the country who have come together to explore the individual expression that can be inspired by a single piece of music. In true keeping with the spirit of the blues, Nina Simone's "Feelin' Good", a universally recognized song, invokes a unique response in each dancer who hears it. This piece is a blend of interpretations and individual styling that, in combination, is a work that is greater than the sum of its parts.

The Ladies of the Wicked 9s

The Wicked 9s are a performance group based out of Boston, MA that teach and choreograph together. The ladies are primarily lindy and blues dancers, but they all have previous classical dance training and work on all types of dance together, including soul, jazz, ballet, tap, and hip hop. For BluesSHOUT!, they'll be performing to Duke Ellington's Creole Love Call.
