There are actually tons of eateries along Ocean, mostly Asian,
a few Mexican, and a couple of coffee shops and juice bars, all within
5 minutes walking distance of campus. But here's a couple suggestions.

Downsides: Can be very crowded, noisy, very little room to sit,

NOTE: This is right across from the Glen Park BART, which is one
stop away from the Balboa BART.
In 'n' Out Burger + Krispy Kreme: 5 minute drive from City College For when you've got both a car and a craving! In 'n' Out open until 1:30 Fri/Sat nights, Krispy Kreme drive-thru open 24/7.

Balboa Park: 5 minute walk from City College. Lots of grass. Also a pool! ($4 entrance fee): Might be a good place to cool off, catch a shower, or have a picnic
